Connective Cities , Bocholt

Zhang Rubing participates in Connective Cities Dialogue Event for international and German municipalities on “Transforming cities: from industrial centres to sustainable urban areas” in Bocholt, a post-industrial transforming city and shares the work and experiences about Xi’an Dahua cotton mill factory renovation and dialogues with other participators coming from Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cuba and Colombia.

Zhijian Workshop’s research project which title is “Traces of the city” got the 2016-2017 German Chancellor Fellowship supported and sponsored by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and it provided an opportunity for us to continue an one year exchange and research about the renovation of urban artifacts and industrial heritage in Germany and Europe.
